Donations to The SAFE Institute

How You Can Help

If you feel that we have been helpful in any way, or would like to support our mission, the SAFE Institute, a not-for-profit organization, is grateful for your support. In an era of rising costs and diminishing reimbursements, maintaining our commitment all those we serve is a greater challenge than ever before. That is why private donations are of increasing importance. Each gift makes a difference in helping us to maintain our mission. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.

Many different options exist for making a gift to The SAFE Institute.

Contributing by Credit Card
Gifts may be made by credit card. To charge your gift to your major credit card, please make donations through our PayPal™ account.

Making a Pledge
Pledges are gifts made over a period of time. The SAFE Institute will be happy to help you establish a regular gift schedule.

Creating a Tribute or Memorial for Friends or Family
Making a gift in celebration of a friend or family member's special occasion or in honor of a loved one's memory is a thoughtful way of paying tribute to someone who has touched your life. When you send your gift, include the name and address of the honoree or their family. We will send a personal letter informing them of your generous gift.

Planned Giving

Using Stocks, Bonds, or Property to Make a Gift
Donating appreciated property may enable you to avoid paying capital gains tax, reduce your estate tax and receive an income tax deduction. If you have a loss on your investment, it is best to sell it first, deduct the loss on your taxes, and then contribute the proceeds.

Bequests Through a Will or Living Trust
A gift through a will or living trust (bequest) is a popular way to provide significant long-term support. We accept bequests of any size or type. Some assets, such as retirement funds, may be especially advantageous to leave to charity. You may give a particular dollar amount, a specific property, or a percentage of your estate. You may also make a gift of the "residue" or "what's left" of your estate, after providing for your loved ones. If you already have a will or living trust, you don't have to re-write it if you would like to include The SAFE Institute; you may add a document or "codicil" to your existing documents.

Life Insurance
Life insurance can help you make a larger gift than you might have thought possible, while also increasing your total benefit to your loved ones and generating substantial tax advantages. You may name The SAFE Institute as a beneficiary and/or make a gift of the ownership interest in an existing policy. You may also create a new life insurance policy specifically to benefit The SAFE Institute.

Thank you for considering supporting The SAFE Institute – your gift will be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us, we're happy to help!
